Why are Routine Oral Hygiene Appointments Necessary?
I know that life is busy, and you may have every intention of scheduling your routine examination, but before you know it, the day is over and you haven’t called. Patients often question if they need routine examinations when they know they are thoroughly cleaning their teeth each day, and my answer is always the same — everyone needs routine oral hygiene examinations, even if you are meticulous about cleaning your teeth.
During routine examinations, my team and I do more than just thoroughly clean your teeth. We fully examine your mouth, looking for signs of common conditions like gum disease and oral cancer. I also look over your X-rays to see if there are any problem areas in your mouth that either need immediate treatment or need to be monitored carefully for future developments. When you skip or postpone routine appointments, it increases your chances of experiencing a dental emergency.
Now is the Perfect Time to Visit
If you or a loved one is in need of a routine hygiene examination and cleaning, there is no better time to schedule an appointment. With the holidays quickly approaching, schedules will only continue to fill up. You can schedule your appointment before the craziness of the holiday season officially starts.
