Cosmetic tooth bonding is a very popular method used to embellish a smile. It is the fastest and most conservative way to enhance the esthetics of teeth in scenarios such as closing gaps in between teeth, giving teeth the illusion of being straight, and, in some cases, restoring teeth that are chipped, stained, or malformed. Due to the nature of the material, cosmetic bonding is typically recommended in areas that do not receive heavy biting forces.

A tooth-colored resin material is bonded to the surface of the tooth, then shaped and polished to give it an esthetic appearance and give you that fresh and beautiful smile.

In cases where a stronger material is required or a longer lasting result is desired, porcelain veneers might be the answer. A porcelain veneer can accomplish the same goals as cosmetic bonding but are the preferred choice when seeking the most esthetically pleasing and longest lasting result. Porcelain veneers do not get discolored or lose their luster like cosmetic bonding resin might over time.
