If you have ever considered having straighter teeth, improving your bite, or the appearance of your smile, Invisalign is a great option. Many of our patients at Seven Star Dental here in Cincinnati, Ohio, especially our adult patients, have expressed an interest in having straighter teeth, but they aren’t interested in wearing metal braces for one to two years to achieve a perfect smile.

ACHIEVE A BETTER SMILE WITHOUT METAL BRACES
What’s great about Invisalign is that, by using a series of clear, nearly invisible aligners, we are able to gently move your teeth into the proper position, often without the use of metal brackets or wires! Now you can regain confidence in your new smile.
HOW LONG DOES THE INVISALIGN PROCESS TAKE?
The types of changes we are looking to make in a patient’s smile will determine how long the process takes. If you have slight gaps, rotated teeth, or crowding, many times these types of changes can be made in 8-12 months! Dr. Maria Bustamante is certified in delivering Invisalign clear aligners. She has been successfully offering this procedure and has accomplished beautiful and functional results for her patients for the past 10 years. Each patient is carefully evaluated after a full consultation with X-rays and a clinical examination. Then, we are able to provide a detailed treatment plan that will show you exactly what kind of results you can expect.
If you are looking for an Invisalign Dentist in Cincinnati, you have found the right place. Nothing compares to having a professionally monitored orthodontic treatment to give you that beautiful smile. We like to caution our patients about spending money on these online services that advertise and claim to provide you with similar results for much less money. Frequently, once their trays are shipped to you, they are done. This has led to a few patients getting frustrated because, when you are dealing with the human body, you need to monitor the process and make any necessary adjustments along the way.
INVISALIGN FOR ADULTS
Teeth straightening is not just for kids! Most of the patients that we treat currently are, in fact, adults! Many of our patients have busy jobs and deal with people during the day, and they don’t want to be showing a mouthful of metal when they smile. This process will give you the results you are looking for without the metal!
After trying different orthodontic options to accommodate different budgets and even witnessing some patients going the route of a mail-in service, Dr. Bustamante has selected the Invisalign process for her patients. The simplicity of scanning the teeth and providing a series of clear aligners that get changed out every couple of weeks makes the process straightforward and understandable for our patients.
HOW MUCH DOES INVISALIGN COST?
The cost for Invisalign is basically about the same as for traditional braces. The only difference is that, with these clear removable aligners, you are able to move multiple teeth at the same time and therefore, in some cases, it actually speeds up the process.
Many people think of having a straighter set of pearly white choppers as simply a cosmetic benefit. This is not true. There are overall health benefits as well. Not only are you able to chew your food better, allowing you to get more benefit of the nutrition from the foods you eat, but it’s also less stress on your digestive system when you can chew food into smaller pieces before swallowing.
In addition, being able to brush your teeth without “food traps” or crowding will greatly reduce your risk of getting cavities on your teeth in the future. This also improves the health of the gum tissue and can potentially eliminate bad breath because you can clean around your teeth easier!
HOW WOULD I KNOW IF I AM A CANDIDATE FOR INVISALIGN?
We have found that about 80% of orthodontic cases can actually be treated with the Invisalign trays. If you have a severe skeletal malalignment, a sever overbite, a deep overbite, or severely rotated or angled teeth, then traditional braces may offer the “torque” needed to correct these discrepancies as well as sever angulation issues. In these cases, we might also work with an orthodontist.
The other time when this process may not be ideal for your particular situation is if you are missing multiple teeth or are in the mixed dentition stage where your jaw is growing and you have baby teeth and adult teeth coming in. It requires multiple impressions, since what you start with are not the same teeth you will be ending up with! In these cases, we can either do limited orthodontics to guide teeth into position and then wait six months or more to do a second round of aligners once all the adult teeth are present.
While this procedure is primarily for people over 15 years old, there are limited treatment plans for younger children, but again, because of the growth of the jaws, it sometimes requires multiple impressions to determine where things are heading as the teeth shift. Patients with dental implants or multiple bridges also require special types of treatment plans, since we typically will NOT be moving those teeth.

With over 15 years of experience as a cosmetic and family dentist in the Cincinnati area, she has treated thousands of patients, including a wide variety of orthodontic cases. In some cases, we are able to integrate porcelain veneers into the treatment plan to “speed-up” the process, especially when spacing is an issue. In these cases, we first correct the bite with the clear aligners, then finish off the esthetics with veneers. Once you are nearing the end of your treatment, we can offer whitening gel to put in the trays, so in addition to having straighter teeth, you can have whiter teeth as well!
